Bob McCasland is a 3rd generation resident of Valparaiso. Having graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1969, he attended Ball State University from which he received his degree in Business Administration in 1973. Sharon, Bob's wife of 36 years is an elementary school teacher. They have two adult children,
Melissa and Rebecca.
Daughter Melissa is also an elementary school teacher and recently, with her husband Jeff Ofman, graced Bob and Sharon with their two grandchildren, Cadence Annebelle and Cole Leland.
Daughter Rebecca has here Masters in Social Work and is employed in Porter County.

Bob is owner of McCasland Leasing, Inc., a vehicle-rental business established in 1979 -and- with his wife Sharon, he is co-owner of
MEL-REB, Inc., a contract cleaning company established in 1993.
In keeping with his strong sense of community, Bob is an honorary life member of Valparaiso Fraternal Order of Police #76, has been a Valpo Americans’ girls’ softball coach and is an active member and Past Exalted Ruler (2001-2002 and 2009-2010) of the Valparaiso Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #500.
